This comfortable feeling

Being nonchalant and care free

Doing as, how and when I wish,

Anything that I can think of in my constant state of solace.

Always the way I thought it will be,

But alas! I didn't know of Ali.

Locked away my emotions were,

Safe, secure.

In my own little place,

Hidden from this world.

If only I could remain in this state

I will never suffer any ill fate.

To love and have lost,

Is a torment I wish never to face.

But for you I have set them free.

Because I can trust my life in your hands.

Joyous it is,

Being able to lower all defenses

And allow you to see the depths of me.

It brings me happiness and glee.

Forever to be with thee.

I am a better person now having met you.

Impacted by your love and kindness,

I can once again trust enough to feel.

Totally open I am to you,

With all my emotions and feelings I plea

Accept my love forever and allow me to make you happy.

Comfort there is in your embrace.

I lay all my displeasure at your feet

And get lost in thoughts of you.

That face,

That smile,

To stroke and caress,

With so much loving tenderness.

I wish to have it all the while,

While uncontrollably I smile.

The warmth of your body,

I use to remind me that I am alive and awake,

To remind myself that I'm not dreaming and what I feel isn’t fake.

Years we have shared,

Tears we have shed,

Plans we have made,

Our lives together we have intertwined.

Two have become one,

We are but two halves of a whole.

One heart,

One soul,

Together we work to achieve similar goals.

Forever I hope,

You and I together we try to cope.

Life is hard,

Trials and tribulations abound,

But my true love and partner I've found.

Together I know we can,

Forever I try and try until there is a solution.

Sleepless nights I have had,

Constant shock my body has to bear.

Racing is my heart,

Hoping life without you will never start.

You are my companion,

You are my life.

For ever I will be with you,

Until maybe one day you will want to be my wife.

Incomplete away from you I will be,

My body and soul will lament for all eternity.

If only you would just see what I see.
